Tips to maximize android battery timing

Android Operating System is known as Power Hungry Platform. It eats up battery much faster than its competitors (Windows OS and iOS). Though its recent updates have improved its battery timing but still it is not good enough as it should be. 

About 75-80% smartphone users in the world are those who have android smartphones. The reason is that android is open source as well as it has million of free apps available on its Play Store. From a school student to a business man, almost everyone is using it.

The main drawback of android is that you can't still spend a whole day without getting out of power. As a business student, I know how important it is for a business man to get most out of the battery. But don't worry guys, you can maximize the battery timing by doing some tweaks and tactics.

I have collected some very useful tips and tricks which will definitely help you, whether you are in the office, classroom or even traveling. So just follow these tips and you will see much improvement in the battery timing.

1. Keep Your Phone Cool

You would be wondering that how keeping your phone cool can add some life in the battery. Well if you expose your phone in the direct sunlight or keep using it in a hot environment then the heat will drain your battery power very quickly so it is good to keep your phone under 95 degrees (or in room temperature i.e., 28C).

2. Turn Down the Screen Brightness

Turning down the brightness of your phone to the lowest possible level at which you can still see is also an important tactic to save some battery life.

3. Turn Off WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS

WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS eats lot of power. So if you are not using WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS then turning them off can significantly improve the battery timing.

4. Turn Off Haptic Feedback

Most Android phones have haptic feedback that gives a little vibration when keys are pressed on the keyboard and at certain other times. If you don't absolutely have to have it, turn off the haptic feedback.

5. Disable Automatically Sync and Updates

Android phone, by-default are set to sync and update emails, apps and Facebook updates automatically so if is better to turn the automatic updates and sync off.


6. Disable Unnecessary Background Apps

You should keep an eye on those applications which are running in the background. By going into the Task Manager, you can turn off those unnecessary apps which you are not using.

7. Enable Power Saver Mode

Enabling battery saver mode can dramatically improves battery timing because it automatically turn off WiFi, Mobile Data, Bluetooth, GPS etc. It is necessary to use this feature if you want to maximize battery timing.

8. Do Not Use Live/Animated Wallpaper 

It is better to not use live wallpapers because they eat up battery very quickly.

9. Restart Your Phone

Restarting your phone once in a day is a good practice to improve the battery timing because this way, phone starts with only those apps which are necessary. It also improves the battery life.
