This is a utility app which helps us to multiple download at a time with better speed and it is used by millions of internet user over worldwide. There are so many download managers available in the market but IDM still best among them. It is well known for its downloading speed. But some times many user are not satisfied with IDM speed, if you are one of them, then follow the below tricks to increases downloading speed of Internet Download Manager.

Changing Configuration of IDM

To change configuration of IDM you need to follow the below steps.

First of all open IDM and click on Downloads and then click on Options.
Now a new window will appear and Switch to Connection tab and select your internet connection as 10Mbs and click on Ok.
This trick will work for connections having speed of 10Mbs or above. If you are using less then 10Mbs connection then Select other as connection type and “999999bps” as speed.

Editing Registry Key

Open IDM and go to Downloads>>>Options.
Now go to Connection tab and here select maximum connection number as 16.
After that open Run and type regedit and hit enter to open Registry Editor.
Now select HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Download Manager.
Now navigate MaxConnectionsNumber from right pane of registry editor.
Now Double click on it and select Decimal and increase its value data up to100.
