Your company's Mac computers come with a selection of pictures that can be assigned to user accounts. These pictures serve as avatars for the accounts to which they are assigned. If multiple employees use the same Mac, for example, these account pictures are displayed during the login process. Though Apple does not make it obvious where these pictures are saved, you can locate them via a few clicks using the Finder application. You can also delete custom login photos taken with your Mac's camera.

Remove Stock Photos

Step 1
Launch the Finder application and click your default hard drive under the Devices heading.
Step 2
Click "Library" and then click "User Pictures."
Step 3
Click the folder containing the login picture you want to delete.
Step 4
Press and hold the "Ctrl" button on your Mac's keyboard, click the picture you want to delete and then click "Move to Trash" on the menu that appears to send the picture to your Trash bin.
Step 5
Press and hold the "Ctrl" button, click the "Trash" icon on your Dock and click "Empty Trash."

Delete Custom Photos

Step 1
Click the "Apple" menu in the upper left corner of your screen and select "System Preferences."
Step 2
Click "Users & Groups."
Step 3
Hover your mouse pointer over your current custom photo and click the arrow that appears. Select the photo you want to delete from the Recents list and then press "Command-Delete" to send it to the Trash.
Step 4
Press and hold the "Ctrl" button, click the "Trash" icon on your Dock and click "Empty Trash."
